A Bit About Us

The Veterans' Advocacy Community of Practice in Brisbane's West offers services to assist all current and former service personnel and their families who are in need of support.

Advocates are available to provide information to service personnel who have suffered an injury or disease as a result of their service.

They can both act on behalf of the member, or guide the member through the lodgement of Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) claims. 

We have assembled a great team of volunteer advocates and support officers. We now have advocates with specialised skills in defence discharges including medical discharges, as well as military superannuation including Comsuper and DFRDB.

We’ve created more than just a gathering place — this is a safe, welcoming space where Veterans and their families can feel truly seen, heard, and at ease. Whether you’re here to enjoy a quiet moment, share a drink, or connect through conversation, our environment is built on trust, respect and community.
